The MicroPlayer mkII is a versatile player, specifically designed for installations where broadcast of sounds, music, sound effects or commentaries are required either in a pre-defined playback mode and/or interactive mode.
The MP3/WAV files are stored on a SD/SDHC memory card or USB key. The 2x20W built in digital amplifier is sufficient for small and medium sized premises. The management of the files is simple and only requires a file manager. File naming with the insertion of optional tags determine the player's conduct.
Two Mosfet 500mA switch outputs allow to trigger external devices endowed with contact inputs, led, relay,..
The amplified outputs can be set at the front of the player for increased flexibility.
Playback of files can be triggered by activation of input contacts, receipt of a command from an infrared remote control or through the RS232 serial link.
The functions provided by the RS232 serial link extend the scope of use of MicroPlayer mkII.
Through RS232 the player can be controlled from an automaton, a computer or another MicroPlayer mkII. The player can also send personalised datas on its outgoing serial link.
In Daisy Chain mod, commands are transmitted in the chain of players (up to 127) and each player can be addressed individually.
In Monitoring mode - Status data are sent to the serial out and MicroPlayer mkII status can be monitored by a third part controller.
When configured in low power mode, the consumption of the MicroPlayer mkII is small thus offering a long autonomy when it's powered on battery, using solar energy for example.
