With the introduction of the CARDINAL 120 range, SOMMER CABLE is embarking on a new direction in the field of active components and audio tools. We had tried and proven designs which have reworked into a new range with a new housing concept. We believe this range meets the highest electronic, mechanical and audiophile requirements.

These dual-channel monitoring controllers are used to connect two pairs of active loudspeakers to one monitoring output – a typical situation in the studio or when doing a live recording. For the signal switching and the level control in the balanced signal path we use premium-grade signal relays via a sophisticated logic circuit. Both units are operated through an external remote control with high-quality keys which is connected by means of a standard CAT.5 network cable. While the DVM-120-SPS only acts as a pure selector switch between the two outputs, the DVM-120-SPR also allows an output level control accurate to one dB (control range 0 dB to –76 dB) and to store a reference level, which can always be recalled using the remote. The level will be precisely indicated by a display on the remote.

The following functions can be operated via the remote control:
1. MUTE on/off: After turn-on Mute is automatically active
2. A/B: Switches between speaker pairs A and B
3. MONO: Only left speaker is on: allows true mono listening

The power lead and a CAT.5 patch cable for connecting the remote control are included in the delivery.
