our systems with TOURLOCK round connectors which, besides their robust and compact design, feature high mating cycles and a superb water tightness (IP67). These are compatible with all commonly available military grade CIR-LK connectors. The pins are gold-plated throughout and the bayonet catch ensures a sealed
connection with a hight fit.
The 19“ housing is 94 mm deep. For the XLR equipping we use locking metal panel-mount connectors from HICON or NEUTRIK. As a standard, the 19“ systems are fitted with a Tourlock, but can optionally be ordered with a second multipin connector as well.
Here TOURLOCK1 (FOH) is wired in parallel with TOURLOCK2 (monitor). The returns are only connected to the FOH output. All systems have a separate grounding. Our standard wiring schemes comply with the customary norm. These can be found under www.sommercable.com/support.
For our 19“ systems with transformer technology we normally use 1:1 transformers with MU metal shielding for optimum interference protection and a max. input of +12 dBu.
Here multipin 1 (FOH) receives the signals directly from the in-/outputs, which allows 48 V phantom power supply from the FOH console, whereas multipin 2 (monitor) receives the transformerless signals. For an advanced signal distribution, e.g. to OB vans, we can also offer a third multipin connector with 1:1+1 transformers as a chargeable custom version.
