HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is an all-digital interface that was developed by the consumer electronics branch in cooperation with the motion picture industry. HDMI transmits digital video and multi-channel audio data loss-free and bi-directional without data compression via a 19-pole compact connector with a max. bandwidth of 18,0 Gbit/s (HDMI® 2.0) or 10.22 Gbit/s (HDMI®1.4) max. resolution UHD/4K@60fps). A audio return channel (ARC) as well as the ethernet function are integrated. A universal remote control of all devices connected via HDMI is possible with the built-in AV link protocol.
