The Yamaha XP series offers five power amplifier models that deliver unmatched quality and value for installations. These power amplifier feature high power, outstanding sound quality, extended reliability, and superior stability for a wide range of installed sound systems as well as portable live sound applications.
5 Models from 700W to 100W
The XP power amplifier series includes 5 models with different outputs ranging from 700W (stereo, 8ohms) to 100W (stereo, 8ohms). The broad choice of power output the XP series provides means you can select a model that will ideally match the power requirements of your application. For even further flexibility all models can operate in 3 modes: in the stereo mode the two channels are independent; the parallel (dual mono) mode allows a single mono input signal to drive both channels and two independent speaker systems; and in the bridge mode, both channels work together to deliver maximum power. The environmentally friendly XP series amplifiers also use lead-free parts.
Careful Parts Selection and Design Focused on Sound Quality
The XP-series power amplifiers deliver sound quality that's on a par with top-class models thanks to painstaking circuit design and components specifically selected to deliver the highest sound quality possible. These amps also feature anti-vibration measures inherited from the top-line PC-1N series, and as a result deliver tight, solid lows, extraordinary midrange presence, and precisely defined highs. The XP amps deliver unmatched clarity for speech and vocals.
A Perfect Blend of Performance and Value
Optimized circuit design and high-performance parts have been combined in the most efficient way possible to bring you outstanding performance with unmatched value. You can shop around, but you're unlikely to find this level of performance in other amplifiers in this price range.
Lightweight 2U Units
Thanks to EEEngine technology and an impressive array of other Yamaha innovations, the XP-series amplifiers are housed in compact 2U-size chassis that belie their high output and superior sound quality. They're remarkably lightweight, too, making them an ideal choice for portable live-sound applications as well as installations.
Connector and Features for a Variety of Applications
The XP series is equipped with a selection of input and output terminals that make them suitable for professional sound applications: XLR and Euroblock input terminals, with Speakon and 5-way binding post output terminals.
The XP7000 can be used to drive 70V lines (stereo) while the XP3500 is compatible with 100V lines (bridged) for high-impedance multi-speaker systems. The XP series is an ideal choice for medium-scale facilities such as churches, halls, and banquet rooms, as well as conference rooms and restaurants. But in addition to the applications just mentioned, the XP-series amplifiers deliver power and performance that make them suitable for events, exhibitions, and concerts as well.
Ideal Companions for the DME64N and DME24N Digital Mixing Engines and Installation Series Speakers
If you're building or planning to build a system using Yamaha's DME64N or DME24N Digital Mixing Engine and/or our high-performance Installation Series speakers, XP-series amplifiers may well be the ideal choice to provide the audio power your system needs.
Exclusive EEEngine Technology
An advanced switching regulator and original Yamaha EEEngine technology give the XP-series amplifiers unprecedented power efficiency. The switching regulator stabilizes output voltage and current for maximum drive efficiency, and EEEngine technology further reduces power consumption without sacrificing sound quality. In fact, you get approximately 50% lower power consumption than conventional class-AB amplifiers while still benefiting from class-AB sound quality. This improved efficiency is also the key to reduced heat generation, longer component life, lighter weight, more compact dimensions, and extended reliability.
Remote Monitoring and Control
XP-series amplifiers are equipped with monitor/remote terminals that allow remote monitoring of protection status and output levels, as well as remote control of the mute and standby functions.
Comprehensive Protection Circuits, Indicators, and Variable-Speed Cooling
Protection circuits include power-on muting, output protection, and DC detection. Indicators clearly show the status of the protection systems and other parameters: a PROTECTION indicator indicates protection circuit activation, a TEMP indicator indicates heat sink overheating, a POWER/STANDBY indicator shows the unit's power status, and SIGNAL and CLIP indicators are provided for each channel. Continuously variable low-noise fans efficiently prevent overheating and maintain high stability.
